Wave Painting Workshop: This workshop will focus on waves and how to paint them realistically.
Landscape Paintings Wade will take you through the fundamentals of landscape painting from photos of popular North San Diego scenes.
Tropical Scenes Wade will take you through fundamentals of painting tropical scenes in his familiar style.
Plein Air- painting outdoors ("plein air") is a challenging and rewarding method of painting. There is no better way for you to see your subject than to physically stand before it! Participants must have a French Easel or other plein air painting easel. You will also want to bring a way to transport your wet painting from the location. Acrylic or oil are both acceptable. Other than an easel, the same supply list for studio workshops applies.
Drawing for Painting- This course explores the importance of drawing to make a great painting. If you've been to one of Wade's workshops, you know how important drawing is. In this session we draw a sketch to prepare for a painting and Wade will assess whether your drawing is sound. If you are planning a painting now, this is great opportunity to dial in your drawing. Supplies needed: a sketch pad (8.5x11" or larger) and a no.2 pencil. You can also use felt tip pens or markers.
